Leanne Sedlak, LMT
Chief Visionary (re: Owner, Massage Therapist, Skin Care Formulator)
In 2009 while working as a Center Director for a successful surgery practice, Leanne felt the pull to be more directly involved with positive health changes in people. Knowing there was more she could do than to make someone feel better with words, Leanne enrolled in The Massage School in Easthampton, MA and graduated in 2011.
It was here in class that she became fascinated with the human skin; the beauty of it and the important role it plays in our health. Leanne realized this passion would soon become her expertise, molding her entire business around the value of natural care for skin – even going as far as to create her own skincare line with the help of Kim, the esthetics educator on her team.
Collaborating with Meghan Rothschild, co-founder of ChikMedia and board member of MFNE, Leanne worked as a guest speaker, vendor, & workshop host throughout much of 2010 and 2011. In 2012 she organized and hosted an event at the SkinCatering Spa sponsored by the Melanoma Foundation of New England called Skin Safe 101. This led to a continuing education event for industry professionals to become certified to better identify changes in moles on our clients.
Enthusiastic about people and being involved in her community, Leanne is an active member of the Young Professionals Society of Greater Springfield where she serves on the Events Committee. She is volunteers at events that raise funds for charities important to her, as well as helping out at the local food bank and Senior Center in her home town.
In 2014, along with Dani Klein-Williams of dani.fine photography and Tanya Costigan of Bowties & Butterflies Event Planning, Leanne helped found a special collaborative event/business called “Treat: A Spa Night Event” that travels to different venues in Western Massachusetts to offer a fun way for brides and clients to enjoy life!
Leanne is passionate about entrepreneurship and revitalizing business in Springfield, so she happily goes out into the public eye, making appearances to help inspire new & experienced entrepreneurs to keep living with purpose, and to show the world that Western Massachusetts is an amazing place to be!
